You are invited to our WHR Annual Fall Return Rider Round -Up Extravaganza September 11-14th 2008 Come Join Us for a fun & exclusive 4 days in Beautiful NE Oregon! Personalized Tune Ups for your Horse, Riding & Training skills, Work Cattle and head to the High Country of the Eagle Caps for some spectacular Trail Riding! In the past in Arizona and just this last year here in Oregon, we had a great return groups who thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow horsemen, past students and personal training tune up & critique time with Wil & Beverly. We had clients we had began working with clear back in 2000 & 2003, to newer students from 2005 to 2007 join us. Everyone had grown in their horsemanship and we offered deeper insights of awareness by reviewing their WHR Foundation, refining their communication skills with their horses and added knew challenges for their growth. Wednesday the 10th, you arrive to the ranch on, to settle in and well have our customary BBQ Dinner, orientation & campfire evening to catch up with one another. Thursday we review and tune on each horse & rider addressing personal goals or issues with one on one and group instructions while enjoying the shade of our covered working pen or the creek side, spacious 300 outdoor arena. Friday we work cattle and learn Wils Way in the cow pen. Exercises in the fundamentals of working cowhorse and cutting, our specialty. Well cover reading, predicting, driving & sorting. A real kick to give your horse a chance to be all he can be! Ever want to pursuer these cow events, Ranch Horse Versatility? Sorting? Working Cowhorse? or Cutting? Well well give you a taste and tune up & coach those of you who are doing it. Saturday we haul to the high country and trail ride in the mountains for the day. Exploring the ponderosa forests, high meadows, creeks, down timber, bog crossings, rocky hillsides, spruce and fir thickets and huckleberry patches, to say nothing of the spectacular views of valleys below. Giving our horses an extreme trail experience in the finest of environments. Saddlebag lunch. Sunday we ride again at the ranch and work cattle reviewing Fridays work and adding boxing, cutting & fence work for those prepared for working cowhorse events. While the sun sets we can offer a gorgeous local ride up in our nearby desert hills to smooth off the weeks end. Most folks stay and head out Monday morning. WH Ranch offers our customary country breakfasts and bunkhouse accommodations, or RV hook ups, leaving lunch and dinner plans up to the students who make good use of our outside BBQ- Kitchen Area. Evenings, the campfire is the gathering place; folks circle it nightly with good cheer, shared wisdom, music, horse stories and reviewing the days accomplishments. Cost: $1070
We are also offering a chance for those who want to make a full week out of it to arrive Saturday evening, Sept 6, joining our From Foundation to Finished Course that precedes the Return Rider gathering September 3- 9th and ride with us through Steps 7- 10 and review the bridling sequence. Wednesday the 10th would be a day off for the remainder of Return Riders to arrive. This would be an additional $700 for Sunday 6th thru Tuesday 9th.
