We are finally shoving off and leaving for Oregon today. We stayed a bit longer in Arizona this year to accommodate clients coming to purchase horses, and took advantage of the opportunity to enjoy riding our string in the perfect spring Arizona weather, heading up to the Cochise Stronghold Pass as many times as we could. This is truly Extreme Mountain Trail Riding...we call our version "Back Country Bridle Horsemanship"! It's hard to leave Arizona, as we know spring can take its time coming up north and our horses are all slick and shiny. Hopefully the temperatures will be warmed up when we get back!
We're stopping in Las Vegas to deliver a WHR gelding we recently sold, and should arrive in Richland and be settled in by mid-week...just in time to get the ranch in order for our June school schedule to begin! We are still offering the early bird discount rates for all June classes, but if the dates don't fit your schedule, we would be happy to offer you a Private Clinic at a more suitable time. Nothing like being at the ranch with us for hands-on coaching for you and your horse in beautiful, secluded northeast Oregon...it's worth the drive! Often you have to go out of your way to find the finest things in life, like good horses and the education we have to offer you. Come join us!
We are excited to be offering two new horses when we get home, along with our current great string of versatility ranch trail cow horses. Smart & Fancy Pep is still offered; he's looking for just the right home where his awesome abilities as a true Trail Cow Horse can shine. He's a mountain-climbing machine, yet the very best in the arena for cutting and sorting. If cows are your thing, we have several fun-to-ride competitive horses. If you've always wanted to do cow work, come see us--not only do we have the horses that give you a thrill and make it fun, we can show you Howe to do it right, safe, and competitively!
We'll update you on our winter in Arizona soon, with more pictures and stories from our happy WHR horse clients and the successes of past and present students. Meanwhile, if you need to get hold of us, we can be reached at 520-820-1096 while on the road and at 541-893-6535 once we arrive home in Oregon.
Now is the time to ramp up your horsemanship...See you soon!
Until then,
Happy Trails, Turn Arounds,
and Cow Time!
